Without St Bartholomew’s hospital the gallery owner would not be alive and Canwood Gallery would not exist, which is why Canwood Gallery are donating our profits to Barts Charity. Please help us to support them in their amazing work.
Bart charity are phenomenal not only do they fund extraordinary healthcare across the five hospitals of Barts Health NHS Trust, they also fund world leading research that saves so many lives across the world.
Canwood Gallery have chosen to support , the Cancer Immunopathology Fund
Led by Professor John G Gribben, MD DSc FMedSci, Chair of Medical Oncology, the research is focusing on why a patient’s own immune system doesn’t recognise and kill their leukaemia. A major way that allogeneic stem cell transplants work is that the donor immune cells are able to see and attack the cancer cells. By comparing and contrasting how T cells are able to do this compared to how leukaemia cells manage to exploit the immune cells of the patient, we aim to find ways to activate the patient’s own immune cells to make them as active against the cancer as the donor cells are.
100% of donations to this fund goes directly into the research.

In these uncertain times it is more important than ever to support invaluable medical research, you never know when you or your family might need it.
